Song Meaning of “Have I Been Lied to?” by Your Gracious Host
Have I Been Lied To is a song about a person who is uncertain and filled with anxiety because of their partner’s suspicious behavior. There’s a mixture of fear and determination to find out the truth, because deep down, the person already knows that something isn’t right.
The first verse is full of doubt, as the narrator can’t tell who to trust and who to believe. All of the questions running through their mind only add to the confusion – they need some kind of answer that will finally provide clarity to their situation.
