Song Meaning of “Once Upon a Tentacle” by Tons
Once upon a tentacle, by the murky sea,
A young boy asks the question, of how his destiny
Would play out, could it be what he wanted,
the end of the journey he’d begun
In the deep of the night, swimming against the tide,
He heard a call, to explore and see what was inside.
He was filled with a strength, pulling together his will,
So he followed the song, of an octopus’ chill
As deep as the sea the waters went,
Every twist and turn of his journey was spent
Trying to find his fate, that was so clear before
As night turned to day and time went ever more
Through the waves and the reefs, he saw the octopus tentacle.
Grabbing on with a strength, he thought could surely be mental.
The tentacle that meant something, at least his life he’d make new.
He clung to it with courage cause now his future was due
He felt a twinge of fear as he followed that call,
but what lay ahead was a future he’d meant to enthrall.
He awoke to a world, a monster all in view,
The tentacle was the doorway to the life he once knew.
And so the young boy entered this new realm,
ready to take on his destiny and his helm.
