E.B.A.H., or ‘Evil Brain Angel Heart’, explores the idea of an individual trying to balance their inner-selves. It speaks to the inner conflict between our ‘evil’ and ‘angelic’ tendencies that resides in everyone. By embracing one side more than the other, we can become distorted, dramatically impacting ourselves and the people around us.
Tech N9ne rapper paints the picture of a person torn between living a life of good versus evil. He raps from a dark place of inner turmoil, caught between his angelic soul and wicked, demonic thoughts. He admits to succumbing to the latter, bringing fear to a city as he roams, but it’s merely a charade. Behind it all, his faith gives him the strength to stay true to himself as he simultaneously keeps his faith and struggles.
