The song takes us on the protagonist’s journey of emotional upheaval resulting from a broken heart, and his desperate longing for resolution and closure.
He expresses his yearning for an end to his heartache asking if God and the evil stars will ever pass and bring him some peace? He questions if the day of his release will ever come, or if he will be forever stuck in this limbo of longing and despair? The longing in his voice is echoed in the ghazal format of the song which carries with it a sense of desolation and restlessness.
