Song Meaning of “Tucked Away” by Expire
Tucked Away tells the story of a person who is grappling with feelings of disenfranchisement, isolation, and sadness. The narrator feels that they have been left feeling isolated from the world and tucked away, forgotten and overlooked by everyone. This sense of being abandoned is expressed in the opening lyrics, “All I see is the same sky, all I hear is the same beat, all I feel is nothing at all…like I’m not even here.”
