Song Meaning of “Qyjara” by A Giant Dog
Qyjara is a song about desperation and the longing for freedom and adventure. The protagonist of the song is stuck in a mundane life, feeling trapped and suffocated by their current existence. They yearn for the freedom of open skies and the openness of the sea, to be able to make their own choices and live life on their own terms.
The protagonist realizes that life is short and fleeting, and unless they make an effort to take what they want, they will never be happy. Throughout the song, the protagonist expresses their feelings of restlessness and anxiety – they want to break free from the shackles of their current life and explore the unknown. This is further emphasized by the chorus, in which the protagonist declares “Set me free to fly away, away, away/Set me free, and I’ll go anywhere.”
The message of this song is that in order to find true happiness, sometimes we need to take matters into our own hands and create our own paths in life. We need to be brave and take the necessary risks in order to find true freedom and fulfillment.
