The lyrics “We shared a fantasy/Embellished with trust/Buried in vain offerings” reflects how many relationships start out with a sense of trust, built on dreams of what is to come. But this trust is frail and quickly fails, the offerings of love buried in the effort of trying to mend the relationship.
