Verse 1:

This verse focuses on the internal struggle of the narrator who is caught between his own desires and expectations thrust upon him by external influences. He is stuck in a loop of feeling trapped and desperate to break free, but seemingly unable to find an escape. He is desperately searching for something that could provide him with the freedom he feels unable to find by other means.
Chorus:

This chorus is an exploration of the narrator’s mind and how his attempts to maintain control and freedom are ineffective despite his best efforts.
